The Vigo Programme is seeking ongoing new independent
accelerator companies
The new Vigo accelerators must be privately owned for-profit
limited companies, able to invest themselves in the young
innovative enterprises within their portfolios. Accelerators should
have a specific focus, and be run and substantially owned by at
least two managers with relevant experience in establishing,
nurturing and internationalizing young innovative enterprises, or
investing in such enterprises.
International interest in participation in the Vigo Programme is
welcomed. Accelerators should be able to provide their
services in English and Finnish. The accelerators will also be
required to set up their own seed or pre-seed funds, or build
alliances with such funds and angel investors so as to ensure early
stage funding for the young innovative enterprises they will be
working with.
Each accelerator will maintain a portfolio of 5-12 young
innovative enterprises, who will also be eligible for public
funding in the form of grants, loans or equity. Public equity
funding is also available for accelerators wishing to set up their
own funds.
