VIGO ACCELERATOR PROGRAM LOOKING FOR ACCELERATORS WITH FOCUS ON RUSSIA
The Vigo Program is opening a call for accelerators focusing on seed phase acceleration of Russian startups, with intent to help them grow global through Finland.
The applicants should fill Vigo's basic requirements for business accelerators and have sufficient knowledge on the Russian innovation environment, sources for deal flow, as well possess an extensive contact network.
The selection follows a two-phase procedure where the first selection is based on written applications. The basic requirements for accelerators, selection criteria, selection committee as well as timetables can be found on the program homepage at www.vigo.fi.
The accelerator application doesn't need to follow a certain form, however they should preferably be not more than 10 pages long and their authenticity of presented information must be easily verified.
The written applications are invited by August 18, 2013, 16:00 either by email to hakemukset(a)vigo.fi or by mail to Profict Partners, Tekniikantie 14, 02150 Espoo. Please write "Russia Accelerator Call 2013" on the email subject line / envelope.
The applicants selected for the second phase will be interviewed between August 19-23. The final selection will be made based on both the written application and the interview. The Steering Committee of the Vigo program will select the new accelerator(s) in September.

The Ministry of Employment and the Economy launched the Vigo Accelerator Programme in 2009. The program is managed by Tekes and the execution of the program is coordinated by Profict Partners Ltd. The programme now includes ten accelerators that coach 60 selected companies and help them attain international growth. Programme participants include companies such as Supercell, Transfluent, Senseg, ZenRobotics, Enersize and Zokem.
