Mr. Timo Linnainmaa, M.Sc. (Industrial management) has worked in the areas of cleantech and finance since 2003. He is the co-founder of Cleantech Invest. Cleantech Invest (CTI) has provided cleantech investment advisory for large institutional investors in the Nordic region. Before co-founding CTI Mr. Linnainmaa was the unit manager of the Environmental Management Research Unit at Helsinki University of Technology.

As the co-founder of CTI, Timo has been appointed by some of the largest institutional investors and corporations in Finland to evaluate strategic investment opportunities in the cleantech sector. He has advised investments in listed equities, direct private equity investments and private equity fund investments. Clients include the State Pension Fund of Finland, FIM Bank, Fortum and the Finnish Innovation Fund. As manager of a research unit at Helsinki University of Technology, he has headed several industrial research consortiums on clean technologies and emissions trading.

Mr. Linnainmaa has also advised governmental and intergovernmental organizations in climate policy and finance. He has a wealth of experience of climate change driven business, from the perspective of policy, corporate climate strategies, technology ventures and finance.
