The Vigo Startup Accelerator Programme

The Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy has launched the Vigo Programme to boost the development of fast-growing startups. The Programme is coordinated by Tekes. The aim is to use public sector incentives to achieve the involvement of the best, internationally experienced top experts in enterprise development to transform startups into new growth enterprises. To this end, the Programme will establish startup accelerators where seasoned professionals coach startups into rapid growth and increased investment-readiness. The aim is to boost the Finnish venture capital market and attract international accelerator players and venture capitalists into Finland.

How to participate in the programme

If you are interested in participating in the Vigo Programme, contact the startup accelerator for your sector directly. At this point there are six Vigo accelerators: Cleantech investFood Process Innovations,  KoppiCatchLifeline Ventures, Lots and Veturi Venture Accelerator.

Programme implementers

The Vigo Programme is managed by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and coordinated by Tekes. Finnvera participates in the programme via its subsidiary the venture capital company Seed Fund Vera by investing in enterprises being accelerated.
